Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Lessonly (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our website and sign up for our free ESL lessons and newsletter. This is a general template — have it reviewed by a qualified advisor before production use.

1. Who we are

Lessonly provides ready-to-teach ESL lesson packs for English teachers. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@lessonly.pro. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

2. What data we collect

  • Email address — when you sign up for the free ESL lessons or newsletter.
  • Order & payment data — when you purchase a lesson pack (payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
  • Technical & usage data — IP address, browser type and pages viewed, collected via cookies (see our Cookies Policy).

3. How and why we use your data

  • To send the free ESL lessons and newsletter you requested — legal basis: your consent.
  • To process and deliver purchases — legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To operate, secure and improve the website — legal basis: our legitimate interest.
  • To comply with legal obligations (e.g. accounting).

4. Newsletter & consent

You join our newsletter only after ticking the consent box on our sign-up form. We use your email solely to send teaching resources and updates. Every message contains an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clicking it or emailing us — this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

5. Sharing your data

We share data only with processors that help us run the service — e.g. Stripe (payments), our email/newsletter provider and our hosting provider — under appropriate data-processing agreements. We never sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe, and order data for as long as required by tax and accounting law.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact hello@lessonly.pro.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
